November 2022: John Rhys-Jones, the actor who played as Gimli in Lord of the Rings, gave CEC a surprise visit during a screenwriting workshop given by professional screen writer, Alistair Audsley.

11th November 2020: The Hive in Bradfield St George is
where we're designing and helping to build a brand new
wildlife pond. We also planted trees and tagged them
with our home made poppies as an act of remembrance.
July 2019: CEC's War on Plastic teams up with Clear to Sea, Bury St Edmunds
Our learning about about plastic reduction gets the interest of Bury Free Press as we visit Clear to Sea shop in St John's Street.
April 2019: Sponsored run for East Anglian Children's Hospice
With 15 children running and 2 adults, the children managed to raise £1,153 for EACH through the generosity of friends and parents.
January 2018: Throwing money down the toilet
Children have been raising money for Toilet Twinning by covering a new toilet in papier mache to use as a collecting box. They raised over £250 for 4 toilets in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
October 2016: Reliving the Romans
The Romans came to life as children dug for genuine artefacts with Suffolk Archaeology and dressed as Roman Centurions. Next they designed and decorated a feast hall, chose the menu, made the food and invited the 42 guests. Experimental archaeology for real.
March 2016: Give back the Parthenon Marbles
Freya's letter to her local MP asking for action to repatriate marble sculptures to Athens hits the papers.
30th November 2015: Children's Book Launch
Three professional authors join the children to launch their own story books, written, illustrated and bound by themselves.
16th May 2015: Creative Food Critics project at the Bury St Edmunds Festival
The big awards evening for restaurant visits and reviews at the Apex in Bury. Children's own design of trophies were presented on a red carpeted stage to each restaurant prior to the Global Folk concert in which the children also took part.
27th March 2015: African Evening raising funds for Send a Cow
Children raised £400 for Send a Cow charity through songs, poetry and home made African food to a packed house of guests.
February and March 2015: Food Critics Project
5 top Bury St Edmunds come under the scrutiny of CEC food critics as part of the Bury Festival. Reviews published in the Bury Free Press.
4th November 2014: Medieval banquet at the CEC
Children at the Creative Education Centre Suffolk, in Fornham All Saints, celebrated learning about Medieval times by preparing a banquet for parents and tutors.
8th October 2014: Paul Collard visits the Creative Education Centre
Paul Collard is Chief Executive at CCE (Creativity, Culture and Education). He travels extensively, developing and supporting educational programmes in many countries. He had lunch with the children and encouraged us in our drive for a creative education.
4th September 2014: Creative Education Centre Opens
Our doors opened today to our five wonderful children, the first of many exciting days for them.
